  • Your strong sense of purpose aligns with helping a large user base access WebGPU on Linux and Android.
  • Your deep focus and persistence make you excellent at seeing complex bugs through to resolution.
  • Your collaborative nature fits the open-source community and code review process well.
  • Your careful, methodical approach ensures thorough testing and high-quality work.
  • Your need for harmony might make it difficult to handle the blunt, direct feedback common in open-source reviews.

The role

You will help the Firefox WebGPU team clear its backlog of correctness and security bugs in wgpu, Firefox’s WebGPU implementation, so WebGPU can ship on Linux and Android. You will take on well-defined, prioritized issues, land fixes upstream in the open-source wgpu project and in Gecko, and free the core team to focus on the remaining release-blocking work.
