  • Your quick, pragmatic approach is great for rapidly diagnosing and fixing bugs.
  • You are adaptable and handle the dynamic nature of shifting priorities well.
  • Your hands-on style lets you dive right into the codebase and make immediate progress.
  • Your preference for action over analysis may lead to incomplete fixes or insufficient testing.
  • Your need for variety and excitement will be challenged by the routine of clearing a long backlog of similar bugs.

The role

You will help the Firefox WebGPU team clear its backlog of correctness and security bugs in wgpu, Firefox’s WebGPU implementation, so WebGPU can ship on Linux and Android. You will take on well-defined, prioritized issues, land fixes upstream in the open-source wgpu project and in Gecko, and free the core team to focus on the remaining release-blocking work.
