  • You possess strong analytical skills to explore and optimize perception, prediction, and planning algorithms, which suits the role's advanced research-like challenges.
  • Your intellectual curiosity drives you to deeply understand sensor fusion and complex ML components, making you a natural for building innovative autonomy solutions.
  • You might struggle to maintain the high pace of deployment from prototype to product, as you prefer lingering on theoretical exploration over rapid field integration.
  • Coding in C++/Rust with real-time constraints is well within your ability to master abstract systems, but the requirement for robust testing and CI/CD could feel tedious.
  • Collaboration with diverse teams may be draining for you, but the startup's small size and technical focus could reduce friction.
As a Senior Robotics & Machine Learning Engineer, you will shape the next generation of autonomous ground systems. You will design and implement core components of our end‑to‑end autonomy stack — from perception and prediction to path planning and vehicle control . Your work enables reliable operation of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) in challenging environments, including GNSS‑denied areas, off‑road terrain, and multi‑vehicle convoying. You will collaborate closely with experts across software, hardware, and mission systems to integrate the right sensors, algorithms, and architectures into robust field‑ready platforms. Your contributions directly support Quantum‑Systems’ mission to set the benchmark for multi‑domain autonomous systems. What is your Day to Day Mission: Develop perception modules (object detection, tracking, pose estimation) for precise autonomous vehicle behavior. Build and integrate the full autonomy stack: perception, prediction, planning, and control for diverse ground platforms. Design multi‑sensor fusion setups (camera, LiDAR, radar) for resilient operation in all environments. Implement high‑performance software pipelines for real‑time sensor processing. Validate autonomy functions using real‑world data and advanced simulation. Collaborate with mission‑control teams (e.g., MOSAIC) and vehicle platform teams to ensure seamless integration. What you bring to the team: Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Rust , plus solid Python skills. Proven experience deploying ML components in real autonomous or robotics systems. Expertise in embedded systems and high‑performance robotics software. Ability to guide AI‑assisted development tools effectively. Technical leadership: breaking down complex autonomy challenges into clean, reliable solutions. High quality standards: testing, code reviews, CI/CD, documentation. Collaborative mindset and confidence in supporting teammates. Ownership mentality — driving technology from prototype to deployed capability. Comfortable communicating in English in a technical environment. Your Benefits: Direct impact: See your contributions rapidly integrated from cutting-edge research into industrialized products, flying in the field within short development cycles. Culture & Environment: A dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative startup environment with flat hierarchies, efficient collaboration, and a strong emphasis on continuous learning opportunities. Work-life Balance: We offer flexible work schedules, and 30 days of paid vacation each year to support your personal and professional life. Lunch Benefit: We promote healthy eating and the well-being of our employees with a monthly lunch budget. Health & Wellness: We support your physical well-being with a company-subsidized eGym Wellpass membership, giving you access to thousands of gyms and sports facilities.
