Senior Go / Kubernetes Developer - Cloud & Edge Infrastructure (Freelance, Remote)

For a long-term cloud infrastructure project, we are looking for an experienced Senior Go / Kubernetes Developer to support the further development of a distributed multi-provider cloud and edge platform. You will work in an international engineering environment and contribute primarily to the development of Kubernetes-native infrastructure automation using Go . Start: asap Duration: 12+ months Capacity: 100% Location: Remote Preferred setup: Nearshore / Europe-compatible Language: English; German beneficial Contract: Freelance Tasks Design and develop Kubernetes Operators and Controllers in Go Develop cloud-native backend services and Kubernetes-native APIs Design and implement Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and reconciliation logic Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud, edge and bare-metal infrastructure Integrate infrastructure, networking and platform components via Kubernetes APIs Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests Analyze, troubleshoot and improve Go applications and Kubernetes controllers Contribute to technical architecture, code reviews and engineering standards Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security and AI/ML specialists Requirements Several years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on Go / Golang expertise Proven experience developing Kubernetes Operators and/or Custom Controllers in Go Strong practical knowledge of the Kubernetes API, CRDs and reconciliation patterns Experience with common Kubernetes development frameworks such as controller-runtime, client-go, Kubebuilder or Operator SDK Good understanding of Go concurrency, APIs, testing and backend/service development Experience developing and operating containerized applications Good understanding of cloud-native and distributed infrastructure Familiarity with infrastructure topics such as compute, networking, storage and automated provisioning Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
